Description
B4 Hedeby/Haithabu Arrow head.
We are delighted to present these wonderful close copies of the original head, they are made in the sunny North of England from Mild steel (High Carbon available upon request POA)
TheB4, an interesting bodkin forged with a transition less socket. It it our belief that these arrowheads were forged from the remnants of broken socketed arrowheads, or smith’s mistakes, wherein the head is burnt off by an apprentice. The socket tip is fire welded together and forged into a square taper, forming a functional and lethal, if lightweight arrowhead.
It measures 75mm in total length, of which around 35mm is socket.
