We are delighted to offer this scabbard as part of our new In Stock range.
The Scabbard is built with a Sheep skin top lined Beech wood core with integral strap slide (cast Brass) and covered with Pit Tanned Red Deer leather which is hand sewn using natural linen thread.
The Belt is made from Pit Tanned Red Deer, Its suspension method is speculative, thank you to Roland Warzecha for your kind permission for its use.
This scabbard will accommodate a blade up to:
Blade width at Cross guard – 50mm
Blade with at point of rounding – 30mm
Blade Length: 29″
****Please note that the leather is natural veg tan which has been dyed with modern dyes to imitate spruce bark tanage****
Suitable for portrayal of a 10th C ‘Anglo-Scandinavian’ persona.
