We are delighted to offer this scabbard as part of our new In Stock range.

The Scabbard is built with a felted wool lined wooden core with integral strap slide (oak) and covered with Veg tan cow leather which is hand sewn using natural linen thread.

The Baldric is made from Veg-tan Cow leather and fitted with a Cast Brass buckle, strap end  copied from period examples.

The belts will fit up to a 80″ waist, Please add your total length and the fit size range you require as a note on the order, for example:  Total length 58″ to fit 40 – 42″ waist.

This scabbard will accommodate a blade up to:

Blade width at Cross guard – 50mm

Blade with at point of rounding – 30mm

Blade Length:  30″

 

****Please note that the leather is natural veg tan which has been dyed with modern dyes to imitate spruce bark tanage****

Suitable for portrayal of a 10th C ‘Anglo-Scandinavian’ persona.

This is accepted for use within:

The Vikings (NFPS)

Regia Anglorum.
