We are delighted to offer for sale these lovely hand thrown Thetford Ware Costrels, they follow the shape and size of various excavated examples from the 8th-12th Centuries. The suspension straps & stopper are made from Veg-tan cow leather, their design is our best guess due to lack of evidence.

Please note: these have a internal glaze to meet modern sanitary expectations and are suitable for hot and cold liquids.

We will select 1 at random form the box they do vary slightly in size and shape as each is hand thrown but generally they hold 500-600ml.

Suitable for portrayal of a 8th – 12th C ‘European’ persona.
