Description

M9 Hedeby/Haithabu Arrow head.

We are delighted to present these wonderful close copies of the original head, they are made in the sunny North of  England from Mild steel (High Carbon available upon request POA)

The M9, the only Quatrefoil head found in the dig. 4 tapering blades, an X in cross section, form the head, with an extended ferrule and a short tang.
We recommend the tang, which in the picture is forged to 20mm in length (3mm-1mm) is left longer, 40mm at least, to allow for solid connection to the  shaft. Unless specified, all
forgings will be to the 40mm  not the 2omm specified by the archaeologists.

The ferrule is 73mm in length, tapering from 6mm at the tang to 2mm at the transition to the blades.
The blades are 22mm in length approximately, and 5mm in width.
