M8 Hedeby/Haithabu Arrow head.
We are delighted to present these wonderful close copies of the original head, they are made in the sunny North of England from Mild steel (High Carbon available upon request POA)
The M8, a trefoil with an extended ferrule. Measuring approximately 78mm in length, of which 17mm is tang, this arrowhead sports an impressive weight distribution. The ferrule is 4mm
round at the shoulder to the tang, tapering down to 2.5mm at the throat behind the head. The ferrule measures approximately 40mm in total length.
The trefoil blades measure approximately 20mm in length and swell in the middle to around 7mm in width. The fuller cut into each face follows the curve of the blades and is approximately 2.5mm
in depth.
