This pewter shield pendant was found in York, England. It dates to the Viking period and the runic inscription translates to 'Good Health.' This is the Scandinavian equivalent to 'Good Luck' in the English Language.

The Valknut is a symbol found on a number of stone carvings from the Viking period. It is commonly found in close proximity to the god Odin and could be tied to him and the afterlife.

This pewter pendant represents Jormungander, the child of Loki, as it curls around Midguard, the world of man. He is said to cause earthquakes when he moves. These pendants have been found across the Viking world and may have been worn for protection.
